Litchfield Horse and Pony Club (LHPC) is located in the rural area of Darwin, and has existed since 2006. We accept riders of all ages and expereince (including adults), and offer a fun and engaging rally program for our riders that operates throughout the year.
RALLIES
Rally days will normally be every 2nd Sunday, allowing time between lessons for students to practice and refine their skills. During the show season, the rally schedule may be altered to encourage our members to participate in pony club competititons. Our rally days cover a wide range of horsemanship skills - flatwork, dressage, jumping, mounted games, trail riding, road saftety and heaps more. Our coaches and guest speakers also provide our members with theoretical knowledge in areas such as feeding, first aid, show preparation, saddle fitting, veterinary issues and farrier work to name a few. We work toward equipping our riders to undertake internationally recognised pony club certificates.
In addition to the pony club syllabus, we also aim provide plenty of trail rides, fun days and social events.
